I don't know if I should tell you this, because she might have been behaving like that to hide something from you. It's for your own good - she thought. Perhaps, she knows (at least) one fact that makes it impossible for both of you to be together. It could be her son, her age or her life history - anything, but she's trying to hide it from you. She loves you but she knew that 'one darn fact' that she couldn't tell you. Maybe she don't want to tell you because she knew that she'll hurt you if she did. My advice is if you managed to find out, don't get hurt, or at least don't show her that you're hurt. If she wouldn't tell you no matter what you do, just move on, unless you want to suffer all your life. Sometimes, when she acts like a friend, maybe she wanted to help you to care lesser and lesser about her, so that you won't get hurt too much when both of you really have to part one day (the day will come, she's expecting it). At times when she flirted and was all lovey-dovey with you, she might just can't suppress her feelings anymore (she really loves you, okay?). I am also two years younger than my brothers friend and eight years apart from my brother; making it a much awkward situation. These girls LOVE to just be around you. What i did is asked them what they wanted to do this summer. We did a HUGE paint slatter. Also try and make stuff with them. On night we made dinner for their parents and they loved that too. Also, with the boy try and play like capture the flag 2 against 2. It was fun when we did it and we invited 2 of their friends over one time (plus that means extra money!) and they liked that too. Also taking them just on drives and getting them outside is always good. And somedays they will just like to kick back and watch tv or play wii. You could do a movie day and eaxh kid as to pick 1 movie they want to watch. and you bring one too and just make a huge bowl of popcorn and watch movies with them. I had a lot of fun writing them, and modifying the many public domain pictures I used; hopefully kids of all ages will be enthralled by the story of little blind Vola, the flying squirrel, of the trial of the Chicago Kid, a tough Norway rat who wandered into LittleTown by mistake one day, and of the fights of the LittleTowners against the many threats facing their new town.
